A lider da matilha / the leader of the pack

A matilha é algo que poderíamos pensar que está ligado aos animais apenas mas não podíamos estar mais errados. O comportamento grupal é algo bem humano e que pode levar a situações de extremos como o caso da Shanda Sharer. Este é um caso não só de assassínio como também uma situação que começou com bullying e um grupo de raparigas desesperadas por descarregar as suas frustrações numa vitima.
Primeiro tudo começa com ciúmes, com a vontade de Melinda proteger o que considerava ser seu, a sua vontade de ser territorial com a sua propriedade, neste caso com Amanda.
Para quem não conhece o caso pode pesquisar na internet porque é mesmo um caso brutal de como o bullying pode escalar para algo pior.
Melinda com ciúmes de Amanda com Shanda levou-a a conseguir formar uma matilha de mais três raparigas e leva-las a caçar Shanda, espanca-la, apunhala-la e por fim queima-la viva.
Teste caso temos um grupo com intenções altamente violentas, em contexto não controlado, porque levaram a vitima para o meio do mato, e no qual nos podemos colocar a questão: será que os bullies que agem em grupo são mais perigosos do que os que agem sozinhos?
Os estudos revelam que em grupo as pessoas são levadas a fazer coisas que não fariam sozinhas, a emoção de fazer algo partilhado sobe, a culpa pode ser partilhada mais tarde.
Devemos portanto compreender bastante bem o tipo de grupo em que os nossos filhos se incluem, a dinâmica do grupo, quem é o líder e quem são os seguidores.

The pack is something that we think is connected only to animals but could not be more wrong. The group behavior is something very human and that can lead to extreme situations like the case of Shanda Sharer. 
This is not only a murder case but also a situation that began with bullying intentions and girls desperate to unload their frustrations on a victim.
First it all starts with jealousy of Melinda and her will protect what she considered to be hers, their willingness to be territorial with its property, in this case Amanda.
For those unfamiliar with the case you can search the internet because it was a  really brutal case of bullying that escalate to something worse.
Melinda was jealous of Amanda being with Shanda, so she make a plane and her own pack with three another girls and take them to hunt Shanda, spank her, stabs her and finally burn her alive.
In this case we have a group with highly violent intentions in a not controlled context .
The victim was took to the woods, and now we can make a question : a bully will escalate to this kind off violence when he acts alone? No. Inside a group the bully has more power, he can do things he would never dare on is own.
Studies show that in a group humans are led to do things they would not do by themselves, because in a group they can share the thrill of doing something, they can blame on each other.
We must therefore understand very well what kind of group in which our children are included, the dynamics of the group, who is the leader and who are the followers.
